More proof of survival from past lives authenticated in public records and by more than one person witnessing the same lifetime and location.
Influences from other lives play an important part in our present lifetime, since many of the people we meet, love and live with have been with us before. Our psychiatrists, therapists and priests would be more effective in their counselling and healing if they took this information into account. Bereavement would be easier to handle and the meaning and purpose of life would become quite clear. Also we can't ignore this proof of the eternal nature of the spirit as we recall names and places we've not come across in this lifetime. There are many cases where a person has remembered incidents in a past life, with names and dates, then checked historical records and found the facts which were revealed in a regression session turned out to be authentic and true. There are many such proven cases. Our greater network of lives is very lengthy and complicated, which is why for the most part we do not remember too much about them, if at all. We have so much to focus on during THIS life, without being distracted by other times and places. At some point when we are back in the Spirit World we will have an opportunity to review ALL these lives, and not just the most recent one.
When Brian Weiss started pratictising as a psychiatrist he had not much knowledge of Spiritualism and mediumship, beyond a general knowledge of comparative religion. But when his clients regressed to past lives and then talked of dying, leaving their body, and going into the light of the Spirit World to be greeted by a grandparent, husband or wife, he could not deny the information. The soul continues to exist beyond the life of the body.
I am not stating the case for reincarnation here. Readers if they wish to can read the literature, and examine their own lives, and then make up their own minds I am just presenting the descriptions I can find from those who experienced leaving their bodies after dying in a past life and then going on to the Spirit World where they spent some time before reincarnating. Past life connections have become quite apparent within my own family and changing groups of friends and colleagues over the years, so I personally seek no further proof of the truth of this factor in life, nor do I need further confirmation of survival and the existence of the afterlife, which includes conections with previous and future lives.
The Spirit World then would seem to exist outside of time and space and motion, but the inhabitants of its various levels can tune into the times and places they choose to make contact with us.
Only a few of those regressed into past lives can remember the between-life period in the Spirit World. They remember incidents in their past lives, but not much more beyond the cause and circumstances of death, then moving into the light. We are lucky to be able to share the experiences of the few who DO remember something of the Spirit Planes. Probably they are "older," more advanced souls.
It's rather boring to read the endless accounts of other peoples' past lives, just as it is to listen to their dreams or look at friends' travel photo albums. But it IS interesting to read of experiences in the Spirit World. I think we can understand our soul's growth more fully if we acknowledge that we belong to a soul group or entity which is learning not only from this lifetime on earth and then progressing further in the Spirit World, but also returning from there eventually, at a chosen time, to experience other lives, at different times and places, to complete unfinished business, or perfect skills and abilities, to be with a soul mate, or enemy, again, or to learn and understand more. This is what seems to have happened to the hundred of thousands of people who have now been regressed to recall those other lives.
The places we reside in over there between lives will usually be somewhere on one of the lower of the seven planes in the Spirit World, as mentioned by the more advanced spirits who communicated through one of Dr. Weiss's clients, Catherine ......., who became mediumistic under hypnotic trance as she was regressed. What these souls said can be read in "Many Lives, Many Masters" by Brian L. Weiss, Simon & Schuster Inc., New York, 1988 and in "Messages from the Masters", Warner Books Inc., New York. 2000. Dr Wiess's other books include "Through Time into Healing" Simon & Schuster, New York, 1992, and "Only Love is Real," Warner Books New York. 1996.
In this last book, an extraordinary story emerges. Two clients of Dr. Weiss, one from Mexico, and one from the mid-West and regressed quite independently of each other and at different times, appeared to have shared a lifetime together, as father and daughter. Weiss noticed that the location and incidents related by both clients matched up and were identical. Eventually the two did meet, being drawn to eachother, without the direct control of the regressionist. It is well worth reading this intriguing account of how our lives intertwine with other loved ones, continuing over many lifetimes, and so once again proving that life never ends. There is no death.
