I saw a posting online recently which I wondered about. It seemed to have been placed by a young woman who wanted a psychic to sort out her love life for her. She was asking other women to tell her whether or not she could trust a certain psychic phone line as she did not want to spend the huge sum of £30 to ring them if they were not great at it. There were them comments and postings by the others who were all going on about how huge this price of £30 was and how they should find somewhere cheaper.
I am sure those same girls eagerly pay £30 for a handbag, a manicure, a hairdo or a taxi to and from the local dance without a second's thought.
If they were getting a good psychic who really could see things about their love life it was £30 very well spent - hardly a lot. And of course the reader does not get the £30, 20% is v.a.t. and about half of the rest is expenses. A solicitor or lawyer would charge them £300 just to say a few bits about a divorce. Some people know the price of everything and the value of nothing. There are clairvoyants who charge far more than this who are always fully booked. In the many hours they spent discussing it and posting about it they could have earnt £30 or done something far more interesting or productive with that time. It is unlikely that the other women would be able to gauge how good someone is anyway, they are not experts on this subject, they would probably recommend anyone who told them what they want to hear.
