This day event organised by the Mothers' Union, is designed to bring together grandparents of faith (from little faith to strong faith) and of any denomination. So that through a programme to include worship, key speakers and small group workshops, participants will feel supported and encouraged and see ways to make a spiritual difference in their family situations.
The doors open at 10am for registration and refreshments.
The day starts at 10.30 am with worship followed by the key note talk from Rev Laura Mumford the Growing Younger Lead.
There are then a choice of four workshops for people to choose from.
- Prayer based reflection based on two paintings Led by Ish Lennox Mothers' Union Faith Lead
- Discussion group for grandparents with 0 - 11 yr old grandchildren: Led by Sandra Creswell, Licensed Children and Families Minister
- Discussion group for grandparents with teenage grandchildren: Led by Matt Levett, Diocesan Youth and Young Adults Officer
- Mindful craft activities to share with grandchildren. Led by Catherine McGregor, Mothers' Union Craft lead
2.15pm Closing time of prayer Main Hall
The Mothers' Union enterprise pop up stall will be open featuring many resources to support grandparents and their grandchildren.
