Grow in faith, connect with other women this July
If you are looking for an opportunity this summer to grow in faith, hear inspiring speakers, engage in service projects and connect with other women from across the country, consider attending the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s (WELCA) Triennial Gathering!
Women from all denominations and all walks of life are welcome at this special event, which takes place July 16-19, 2026, at the Iowa Events Center, 730 3rd Street, Des Moines, Iowa.
Together we will explore the theme, “I Am Worthy”-based on Psalm 139:14: “I am fearfully and wonderfully made” -through worship, Bible study, servant-leadership opportunities, story-sharing, workshops, a quilt challenge (to create a quilt to interpret the “I Am Worthy” theme) and more!
The event includes both a blood drive and a 5K run to support WELCA’s health initiative, Raising Up Healthy Women and Girls.
Workshop topics include healthy relationships, body positivity and supporting women clergy, as well as:
- Cultivating Courageous Leadership: The Diakonos Solutions Story
- I Am Worthy-Even When the Ground Shakes
- What is Faithful Language for God? Exploring the Bible and Artwork to Find Out
- Love Listens-Supporting Youth into Safe and Healthy Relationships
- Storytelling, Leadership and Images of God
Register by January 5, 2026, to receive the early-bird discount!
On January 6, 2026, adult registration will increase from $475 to $525, and the single day (Friday or Saturday) registration fee (does not include hotel) will increase from $250 to $275.
After January 6, registration for girls aged 13 to 18 remains the same at $125. Children 12 and under can participate for free.
