In the first of these articles, I referred to Jelly d'Aranyi as the medium through whom Erik, Baron Palmstierna and his home circle in London received these teachings. It was in fact her sister, Adila who was the medium. The sisters were both violinists, and often played together, in performances of J.S. Bach's double concerto, for example. (Check that out on YouTube !) The home circle included many public figures, prominent politicians, two past presidents of the Society for Psychical Research and other scientists, clergymen, writers and musicians, which explains why such a high quality of communication was received from the other side.
It is good to see that even back then, in the 1930s, scientists and churchmen were able to meet and take an interest in spiritual matters and remain on good terms. Now, just this month, October 2014, the Scientific American has brought out a special collector's edition, covering the secrets of the Universe, past, present and future. I would recommend you buy a copy before it sells out. Among the interesting topics are black holes, dark matter, lost galaxies, star clusters, the future of stars, a geometric theory of everything, energy, the multiverse, the inner universe of waves, particles and smaller fractions looking back at the earliest galaxies, and the implosion of the universe rather than a big bang. All the articles are updated from previous issues of the magazine. If you go to www.scientificamerican.com/all-access you will be able to retrieve whatever information you may need from the archives, incorporating over 4960 issues dating back to 1845.
The two disagreements I have with scientists are, firstly that they rarely mention or pay respect to God, and have little time to look at psychical research and parapsychology. Our modern spiritual disciplines are 100 years older than modern science, since we can surely say they began with the visions of the scientist Emanuel Swedenborg in 1745, with precursors such as the Camisards and the Wesleys earlier in that eighteenth century, and previous religious and psychic experiences dating back to pre-biblical times. The second contention I have with modern science is that I believe that the brain is not the source of the mind, consciousness and spirit of the human being. I have found that reality is projected out from the inner self, and so the source of energy behind all material forms, again, is God, and all of our inner minds, which are extension or rays of consciousness coming from the love-intelligence of God, individually, and en masse, create the lives we lead. We are responsible, with the free will given us, for all of our experiences, and are not victims of fate or destiny, and if we do something bad, the Devil did not make us do it. We did.
That being said, here is the continuing discussion on the Divine, looking at the universe from a spiritual perspective, so that religion can walk hand in hand with science, in a balanced fashion.
Do not imagine that God sits up all-exclusive in His omnipotence awaiting His subjects to come and worship Him like kings on earth. He is unaware of His absoluteness and only knows love and beauty and gathers them around and towards Him. That we all draw towards Him is a natural fact. God is the origin of happiness and he who yearns for it shall live in bliss and lightness like a feather gaily flying in the air guided by the force of the wind.
God lays down no laws which would sound as a deliberate ruling power. The laws of God are the natural immersions of live and light. Imagine a colossal Globe of fire and love which draws to Itself what is in harmony with It. That Globe of love and light knows no forcing, no violence. It calls for love and light and the rest lies with us.
God manages all the stars through His light and gives light to the sun..
The great inspirations are the light of God becoming visible.
As a fraction of radium can heal a multitude of people and as its light never stops radiating, so we can visualize the Great One as a far stronger light and as an all-embracing substance. We cannot grasp it, but have to accept it as truth. Of course, you do not imagine light as a ball of fire, as by His light we refer to something else: the shine in the eyes of man is not fire but it is light and this is something like the light we refer to. The light of God is ever moving and it shoots out continual waves in circle formation. The circle is the symbol of eternity without a beginning and without an end. How many are pure enough to catch one glimpse of that circular light? When our thoughts are filled with love and we forget ourselves, it may happen that we meet directly with the light of the Great One and only that can give a happiness which is disconnected from earth. He creates through His light and love and all the glorious emotions which run through are emanating from Him.
God is Love-Intelligence.
Love rules and love that comes from the light of the Great One knows no ambition, envy or jealousy, but wishes to give and serve without limitations, an unselfish and charitable love.
Love combines every quality that belongs to the highest spheres. From love have all good things been given birth. From love came beauty, humbleness, charity, and all the arts.
Love is something that can be concrete, that can be liquid, can be visible and invisible, touched and untouchable at the same time. Love is eternal light which burns its light in darkness just as in daylight.
Only love without fear, jealousy, envy and self-possession continues to be love in this world.
Real love has no wish to rule over others.
Pure love is self-giving. It is tolerant and forgets its ego and consequently it shoots and radiates happiness around and with it. That is the love which evil shuns and cannot touch.
Love is never at a standstill. It shoots its waves in billions of variations. It is ardent, burning, gentle, enveloping wholly and partly, yet even in such strength it is often mixed with other attributes and so it raises higher one moment and sinks the next and your knowledge improves and falls back accordingly.
True love is from the spirit and the spirit never tires.
There is only one God from Whom all love and light emanates, Who is wisdom and innocence. Accept that and refrain from analysing as that will not make you better, but will occupy your time, which you can use more valuably. You get warmth from the sun and you gladly accept it, but you cannot become a sun yourself, no matter how much you analyse, and if you are too sure of yourself and insist in looking on it too long, you will be blinded. This is resembling God in a parable.
