Yin/Yang
One of the parts of my work I really enjoy is explaining how the connection to Energy Beings work. It usually involves passing on information & inspiration from my Guides. Also involved are the Guides of the people I’m speaking to. My teaching is an area of work I fell into after I started my communications with the Spirit World. I had no idea it would be something I was asked to do yet I realise that it fits perfectly with what I’m passionate about.
When I started my development I had to experience the Spirit contact for myself so that I could remove my own disbelief about mediumship. Only in experiencing could I step into a world that was radically different than the world I was brought up in. I remember reading as many books as I could, going to see mediums week in and week out, watching everything I could find on TV. There was a lot of conflicting information. It seemed as if there was no clear, simple way to understand how Spirit communication worked. No matter how many questions I asked of people I found their explanations contradictory.
When I eventually joined a development group I wasn’t sure it got any clearer. Until my connection improved enough for my Guides to step forward and advise me. At first it was only my Gatekeeper Guide. Then more and more Guides came forward to help with different aspects of my understanding. They patiently explained why, what & how the connection to the Spirit World works. Eventually they asked me to share that information so people could improve their connections too. That was how I began teaching, by passing on the explanations they had given to me.
An important part of explaining is that I can also validate someone’s personal experience. I can reassure them that what they have or are experiencing is a normal part of opening up our psychic senses. It is hard to shift your world view – we don’t change at a fundamental level without a lot of deep thought & a desire to do so. So it’s vital to be supported through that process. To have someone who can act as a sounding board, prepared to debate & discuss & debate again. My passion is making what can appear complex or confusing as straightforward as possible.
My Guides love to put pictures in my mind to explain what they mean. I love that they inspire me in this way. I appreciate the care they take to work with the other Guides of the people in the group so that each class, workshop or event is personal to the people present. I am very privileged to have worked with some talented people who are taking their teaching out into the world today. Between us we can reach many more people. We can work intuitively: no lesson plans involved; trusting that the flow of energy will meet the needs of the participants; and, creating a safe space for exploration. We can access the explanations needed to help people make their own progress in understanding.
One of my favourite sayings is ‘Each one reach one teach one’. That is my passion. I hope that one day everyone will understand my world view enough to respect it. If we grow the respect for one anothers world views we grow a respectful, peaceful world. An amazing project to be part of!
